Maya spent her whole day doing nothing but waiting. She wasted away on her couch, bouncing her leg every time she glanced at the front door. Impatience had gotten the best of her. Like a specter, it hung on her mind, preying on each one of her actions -- consuming her thoughts. Maya couldn't distract herself anymore. Any amusements, from books to video-games, merely brought back all of her excitement.
